There’s no end to the number of Ladies Nights in Dubai, but when you’re planning your one night out a week (or, let’s be realistic, one per month!), it pays to be selective. As a working mum, I’m all about quality over quantity these days, so to help you navigate the mass of Ladies Nights in Dubai, we’ve got the lowdown on five events that strike the right balance between lively and refined.

Sunday: La Sirenetta at Crazy Fish

Kickstart your week with a kid-free evening at Crazy Fish. Every Sunday, the chic DIFC seafood restaurant hosts La Sirenetta ladies night, serving a tasting menu with two cocktails (or a bottle of wine between two) for Dhs195 per person.

Monday: Nikkeilcious at Aji

This Club Vista Mare restaurant-bar comes alive on Monday nights for Nikkeilicious, with 30 per cent off the lip-smacking Japanese-Peruvian menu. Aji also offers three free drinks for you and your gal pals, and as it kicks off at 8pm, you can have your kids tucked up in bed (with supervision, naturally) before you duck out for the night. Glam is the order of the day at Aji, so you’ll want to bust out the high heels for this one.

Mondays, 8pm to midnight, visit: aji.ae

Tuesday: Unlimited pizza at Il Faro Trattoria

There once was a time when eating was cheating, but now we’re all about sustenance on a night out. Enter Ladies Night at Il Faro Trattoria on Palm Jumeirah, where Dhs150 brings you unlimited sparkling wine and all the pizza you can eat. And this is one pizza party everyone’s invited to, with gents paying Dhs199 for a spot at the table.

Wednesday: Senorita Wednesdays at Maya Mexican Kitchen & Bar

Say olé to the return of Senorita Wednesdays at Maya Mexican Kitchen & Bar (pictured top). Gather your friends on the breezy terrace of Bar Tacos, which boasts views over Le Royal Meridien’s cool pool and the Arabian Sea. It’s a simple three-for-free scenario here, with a choice of salt-rimmed margaritas and glasses of house red or white, bolstered by mod-Mexi snacks of ceviche, tacos and quesadillas.

Thursday: Bachelorette Thursdays at Ba

While we may have shed our bachelorette tag years ago, we’re more than happy to join our untethered sisters for Bachelorette Thursdays at Ba Restaurant and Lounge, Fairmont The Palm. Here, Dhs99 buys you free-flowing beverages from 6pm to 9pm – and let’s be honest, we’re generally tapping out and heading to bed by 9pm these days.
