Get rid of your old sports kit and do some good for those in need.
Whether you’re looking to justify the purchase of a new pair of running shoes, or have simply been looking for a way to clear out your sports kit, Stadium’s new charitable initiative can help. The multi-brand sports giant has teamed up with Emirates Red Crescent for Stadium Cares, an initiative that will see new and used clothing and footwear distributed by the charity to those in need.
The year-round initiative will see special boxes displayed in all of Stadium’s stores across the UAE in which supporters can drop their goods. Once a month, donations will be handed over to the charity, with the store itself adding to the haul with a donation of new goods and apparel.
Mark Greiner, general manager of Al Futtaim Group’s Sports and Lifestyle Division, said: “At Stadium, it is our corporate social responsibility to give back to the community we live in. Even a small gesture by our customers and by all of us can make a huge impact on the lives of less fortunate.
“Our sports and lifestyle team were happy to start off the campaign by making their very first donations. We hope to see more support coming in.”
To take part, simply drop your goods in the designated box at The Dubai Mall, Dubai Festival City, BurJuman Centre, City Center Deira and Al Ghurair Center in Dubai, or Yas Mall, Abu Dhabi Marina Mall, Deerfields Mall and Mushrif Mall in Abu Dhabi.
